Reporter Scott Donnelly reports that in addition to pushing the EPA for better guidance to water treatment plants regarding cyanobacteria, U.S. Senator Charles Schumer is calling for the agency to develop criteria for cyanobacteria in lakes and rivers nationwide. 

Reporter Ted Booker reports that Gov. Andrew Cuomo has announced that $20.5 million in grant funding to aid farmland protection efforts is now available for municipalities, soil and water districts, and nonprofit conservation organizations to apply for.
